The AIDCie, short for AID Committee, is responsible for organizing the activities that CODON hosts during the Annual Introduction Days (AID) of Wageningen University & Research. The AIDCie works year-round to ensure that the association is well represented during the introduction period, which plays a crucial role in welcoming incoming first-year students.
The committee’s primary goal is to plan and coordinate events that increase CODON’s visibility among new students, while also providing engaging experiences that make the AID more memorable. Through the AIDCie, the new biotechnology students are granted an introduction into the study association which helps ease the transition into university life, and provides an inclusive and supportive atmosphere during the introduction days.
Examples of activities that are organised by the AIDCie are the Campus Games, a beer brewing workshop, as well as the ‘study day’ during which students are provided with important knowledge regarding their first year of biotechnology. During the study day, students also have the opportunity to get to know their new classmates.
